Who is Superb Tennis?

Superb Tennis is a community based not for profit member association providing tennis activities to Hornsby and Ku-Ring-Gai council areas. We are also known as the Hornsby Kuringai District Tennis Association. This year we celebrate 100 years of organising tennis in our area.

We currently operate two centres, one at Mills Park Asquith and a second centre at Berowra.

How many courts do you have, and what type are they?

We have 14 courts in total. At Berowra we have 4 artificial grass courts, and at Asquith we have eight artificial grass courts and two hard courts.

Do you have memberships?

Yes, membership is compulsory for all competition players. Non-members can still book courts, participate in social tennis events, coaching groups, but pay a higher rate.

What sort of activities do you provide?

Superb Tennis offers:

Social Tennis - we offer social tennis Wednesday night, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. This is a fun way to play some tennis with a variety of different players at different levels. We provide an organiser who arranges the sets, aiming to create balnced matches for the players. Mostly it is doubles play, but singles can also sometimes be available. Players of all standards are welcome. The first time you come is free, after that the cost is $15 if you are a memebr, or $25 if you aren’t a member.

Competitions - we offer six competitions each week. Monday and Wednesday morning competitions, and night competitions on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Our junior competition is Friday afternoons. We are always looking for players to be reserves for competitions, which is a great way to start getting involved and to experience the competitions.

We also enter teams into competitions organised by TNSW, including Badge and Premier League, and the NSW HardCourt Interdistrict Championships.

Coaching - we offer a full range of coaching services, including individual coaching, small group coaching, development squads for juniors and Hot Shots for those just starting their tennis journey. School Holiday Camps - start your child off on their tennis adventure with all the fun of a school holiday camp with group sessions, games, matchplay and professional coaching. 9.30am to 3.00pm during school holidays.

What does it cost to play tennis here?

Court higher rates are $22.00 an hour during the day or $18 if you are a member.

Night time rates (including lights) are $25 per hour or $22.50 if you are a members.

Social tennis events cost $15 for a member or $25 for non members.

Adult group coaching costs $20 for a member, or $30 for non members.

Competition costs vary depending on when the comp is played and the format of the comp, but range from $12 - $26 per day of competition.
